FAQs
After releasing my apps, why do I see
The status "Not Installed" means that "Force Installation" is disabled during the formal release of the app.
If you want the apps to be automatically installed on devices after the release, we recommend checking the "Force Installation" option before releasing your apps.
Alternatively, you can navigate to the app info page, select "Version Update," tap on "Edit" (located next to "Rollout to"), and enable the "Force Installation" option.
Can I change the app release settings after publishing the app?
Yes, we recommend accessing the app info page and navigating to the Version Update section.
From there, tap on the "Edit" option located next to "Rollout to" and enable the "Force Installation" option.
Please note that you can only modify the app release settings once, so we advise you to carefully consider your choice before making any changes.
Otherwise, you will need to re-release the app and adjust the settings accordingly.
Is it possible to remotely update applications on devices?
Yes, you can update your apps through the App Library, which includes both the Organization App Library and the Managed Google Play Store.
In the Organization App Library, you can update an app by tapping on the update icon in the Operations column. Simply upload the latest version APK file to initiate the app update process.
As for the Managed Google Play Store, it provides automatic app updates whenever a newer version is detected. There are two methods available for you.
Method 1:
You can tap on "Global Configurations" and select "Always Auto-Update Apps" so that Google Play will automatically update the app while the device is not actively used. (e.g. idle or charging)
Method 2:
You can tap on the gear icon under the Operations column and change the Auto-Update rules on the specific Google Play apps.
